My 7 Must-Have Cruelty-Free Products

But first, why cruelty-free?

One of the main questions you might be asking yourself is why am I switching to cruelty-free makeup products? If the product is made already, tested on animals, and is on the shelf, doesn’t that mean it’ll be wasted or there's no point? So that’s a statement and question I hear a lot.

But it's pretty simple really. Switching to cruelty-free products helps our furry little friends that have the ability to feel, think, play, and even be loyal to us. But lack the inability to speak for themselves. As evolved and educated human beings we need to advocate for beings that are considered “lower” than us.

Switching to cruelty-free products helps our furry little friends that have the ability to feel, think, play, and even be loyal to us. But lack the inability to speak for themselves.

There are copious amounts of ways to do that and you can make a change right now that directly impacts animals by just switching makeup brands.

Now, going cruelty-free does not necessarily mean flipping a switch and going vegan the next day. That’s a common misconception and quite frankly scares some people off. Going cruelty-free is really just making a small lifestyle choice that costs the same or even less and gives you a feel for a greater sense of purpose.

What it really does mean is that YOU are taking one big step toward an amazing goal that directly impacts a living soul. YOU are being a conscious buyer that does not want to repeat the history of torment and torture to animals for the sake of beauty. YOU are the consumer that is the voice and feedback to the big companies that are saying, I’m tired of your worn-out ads with celebrity spokeswomen who probably do not know how to even do the makeup pictured in the ad in the first place. I’m looking at your big-budget makeup brand. Do you want to use quality makeup that is not made in vain?

Do you use cruelty-free makeup products?

  • Yes! Everything I own is cruelty-free!

  • Yes and No. I have some cruelty-free and some non-cf.

  • No, I'm not sure what cruelty-free means.

So I thank you beautiful ethical consciously evolved shopper. You are already doing wonders for the world and the little animals that inhabit it with us. Because let's face it in the world of crazy right now we need to work on a few things together to make a difference. Plus you look cuter with makeup that has morals and values.

—Added bonus: Most indie makeup brands are cruelty-free and inexpensive. So by choosing this choice you’re also supporting small kick-ass businesses to gain momentum. Here are some of my ALL time favorites!
